(133,112 posts)Just the notion that Newsom is replacing Trump, in any way, is comforting.

(4,115 posts)Honest question. I know a lot of the monetized resistance will speak of "meltdowns" and "way to go low", etc. for those sweet, sweet clicks, but I would like to hear the specific political or personal setbacks Trump should experience as a result of Newsom's clowning.
Because, to me, it still looks like Trump is running wild, tearing down the Constitution and getting richer unimpeded.
I'm not saying there's not a place for a modern Chaplin / "Great Dictator" satirist in the equation, but I question the wisdom of a major potential '28 candidate frittering away his political currency for Internet high-fives.

(4,115 posts)Sorry that a difference of opinion on whether it's wise to act like a jackass on social media just because Trump is triggers your sarcasm so easily.
You can tell me how smart you are when the gerrymandering special election passes and Newsom emerges with his dignity intact instead of becoming damaged goods from lowering himself to Trump's level.
Until then, you're just one more voice in the discussion.
