The right tool for the right job

Using the National Guard for dealing with natural disasters and public crisis is what it is for. Not the day to day policing of a city. National Guardsmen have regular jobs. They serve to deal with short term, periodic situations.

The same with DEA, FBI and other Federal agencies. If crime is too high in an area or city, hire and properly train more police. Have the FBI offer resources for investigation, as it is set up to do.

The House and the Trump administration needs to release the billion dollars in resources to DC. Trump and his DOJ needs to appoint judges and prosecutors to fill the current. vacancies.

It certainly is not fair to underfund, under staff and withhold resources to a Federal District and then blame them for crime, which is decreasing even without Trump's help, but still needs more attention.
