A 14 and 15 year old out at 3:00 am in the morning car jacking and beating up a grown man sounds like bs. And what kind of parents would be ok with their kids being out at that time? The fact that urban areas tend to have more members of the wrong demographic (and people in general), there is more 'relevant' crime for those so inclined to report there.

If anyone’s safety—including their own—were the motive, they’d have boots on the ground to deliver safe, humane housing solutions; health care (including easily accessible mental health care); and truly equal access to education and employment. Maybe we should be listening to the vulnerable and delivering resources around what they say they need instead of allowing a handful of privileged, middle-aged white men to use
