Letter: "Where are the voices of the Epstein/Maxwell survivors? Why aren't their stories front and center?"

https://www.sltrib.com/opinion/letters/2025/08/11/letter-where-are-voices/

While most traffickers are men, women also recruit and abuse. These women often start as “trusted adults,” luring victims with promises of hope. Ghislaine Maxwell was one of these women. She posed as a savior but delivered countless girls into the hands of her partner, participating in their abuse and showing no remorse.

One of her victims, Virginia Giuffre, said it best:
“You spotted me at the Mar-a-Lago Hotel in Florida, and you made a choice… You and he abused me together for the first time. Together, you did unthinkable things that still have a corrosive impact on me to this day.”

Maxwell lied under oath. She is not a trustworthy source. And yet, reports now say she was moved to a lower-security prison after a meeting with a high-profile political figure, one who used to serve as the personal lawyer to the sitting U.S. president. These actions are not normal. They are unprecedented.

We should all be asking: Where are the voices of the survivors? Why aren’t their stories in the headlines?

Maxwell was just as much of a trafficker and rapist as Epstein was. And she was just as much of a buddy to Trump as Epstein. They socialized for years, and now Trump has arranged a sweetheart deal like the deal Epstein got in 2006. Despite the fact that she recruited and raped countless children. This is a friend of our president, someone who he "wishes well."

to be heard right now.

There was a whole incident years back about how some of them were interviewed by Vanity Fair and they thought they'd finally have their story told, but Epstein threatened Graydon Carter (who I love and this is disappointing) and he watered down the story to leave the girls out of it. https://vickyward.com/article/jeffrey-epsteins-sick-story-played-out-for-years-in-plain-sight/

And new victims will be having a news conference with a Democratic and Republican Senator in a couple of weeks in light of the apparent deal with Maxwell: https://www.newsweek.com/new-jeffrey-epstein-survivors-come-forward-2113463, but why has the press not led with their voices?

Theyre an accessory, and they profit from this. Do you think jake tapper would quit over principal? Remind me how much he is paid again? They are all filthy rich from being "journalists". They will do whatever they are told. They will justify it because all of their friends are reporters, and they will do the same because they live in a vacuum.

If they want to tell their story, what's stopping them? There's thousands of stories on the internet from Epstein victims. Nothing has stopped the many dozens whose stories are easily found. Truth is, the vast majority of victims remain reluctant to tell their stories for whatever reasons, but plenty has been heard from victims who have been willing to speak out.

A sampling of article from just this past week.

Particularly TikTok and Instagram. Michael Wolff has a daily video on Insta about the crimes FOTUS and Epstein committed. The MSM doesn't give two shits about the victims. We've decided as a culture to disbelieve and diminish women and girls so this does not surprise me in the least.

He says that he has pitched a Epstein book many times since the Epstein death, and the story was treated as radioactive by publishers.

The story did not really get traction until Trump's DOJ suddenly said nothing to see after the story had been hyped for years. And the the Elon blow up.

There have also been many interviews with the victims/survivors of Maxwell/Epstein that never got any real coverage. Suddenly stories that have been out there for 20 years are getting seen.

So what did America do about it? They re-elected the rapist POS.
Virginia Giuffre couldn't go on and she committed suicide this spring. How fucking sad is that?
Its difficult, but we have to wrap our heads around the fact that this is nothing new. Rape is as old as time. The more power you have the more you rape. But, men don't need to have actual power to rape. But they seek it out to make them feel more powerful.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm starting to lose what little naive hope I had. We slip a little more backwards everyday and he and his crew of really powerful ugly men and women are working at lightning speed to end any semblance of equality and compassion we thought we built up over our life times. I fear we are just a bunch of circus poodles jumping through what ever hoops the clowns present.

of the iceberg. It seems for you to be in the old school elites, (ooold money, think way back like the 18 & 19th century elites, like used to own slaves old) whose legacy will be that of complete and utter disdain for humanity and their quest to be the shepherd of illusion, deceit and debauchery. My point? Maxwell is a product of the elite. Who were her influences? Someone from wealth doesn’t just fall into sex trafficking, (to the wealthy no less), she was already accustomed to it and was able to hide in plain sight for her entire adult life. She also had a large customer base but needed product and the means to supply the demand. She also seems to believe she has done nothing wrong, how is that possible? In fact, she’s using the materials they curated to blackmail all the perps. Trump wasn’t just a client he was part of the operation, he provided a pipeline from his golf clubs. She doesn’t believe she should be held accountable because no one else is being held accountable. Why should she be the only one punished, is her thought process. The perps are from all political stripes and include a great number of very prominent people. The only reason Trump hasn’t been outed entirely is because too many of the elites are involved. All speculation on my part, of course.
