Sending ICE troops outside where Gov. Newsom was announcing redistricting is politicization of those militarized forces

Federal agents turned up in downtown Los Angeles, where Gov. Gavin Newsom was delivering a speech, and detained at least one person...

Newsom was speaking at the Japanese American Cultural Center in the Little Tokyo area about a congressional redistricting map plan in response to Texas' redistricting effort.

"Right outside, at this exact moment, (there are) dozens and dozens of ICE agents," Newsom acknowledged during this remarks. "You think it's coincidental?"

...this is clownery by the Trump mercenaries, but it's also an outrageous abuse of power and authority.

No one should believe for a minute that this show of force outside of the venue where Newsom was speaking was some sort of coincidence.

NONE of the federal government's resources are supposed to be used to further political efforts, and this stunt was obviously conceived and ordered from the White House.

If there's some doubt about that fact, there should be an accounting of the sequence of events that led to the deployment of this dog and pony show right outside where the widely advertised meeting was being held.
