5. The thing I've joked about for years now.....

The majority of morons flying that flag or have that sticker on their pickup truck don't have a hell of a lot to tread on. Freedom? Freedom to do what precisely? Their regimented lives, thanks to the billionaire class, would change little under a freedom crushing dictatorship from either side of the political spectrum. Other than they may or may not be able to continue typing racist screeds on Facebook, or have a stockpile of guns to fetishize.

Those of other socio-economic classes have far more to lose. Skin in the game, so to speak. Thus, they should pay higher taxes percentage wise to support a legal and legislative system that protects their interests. Yet those classes generally don't fly Gadsden flags. Certainly don't have it planted next to their "no trespassing" signs, like their microscopic corner of the globe is worth trespassing on. No, it's de rigueur for those who waste their votes election after election supporting the very people who ARE treading on them. Ironic and more than a bit stupid.
