I think they are stealing it. Proof? I got none, but..
....Trump/Musk's Private Equity goon Frank Bisignano is running it now and demanded that NO ONE at Social Security Admin ever speak to a member of Congress or any advocacy groups (AARP, for instance) about what is going on in SSA. And since then, NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING TO IT. They could be installing backdoors to funnel the money to unknown parties or locations. And they could be privatizing it right now.
NO ONE KNOWS because they put an iron wall around it and forbade anyone from saying anything to anybody.
