About 20 years ago I was in the ER and they put me through a series of tests. I was released. As I gathered my stuff, I could see my car, maybe 500 feet away. It was a little breezy, light drizzle, wind, rumbling light thunder. I looked at my car again ... yeah, I can make it. Then I changed my mind, I'd better wait. About 90+ seconds later, a bolt of lightning struck not 25 feet from my car. Had I made a run through the rain for my car, I would have been sizzled.

I don't know if such premonitions can transcend time and space, or be seen remotely. You're seeing another dimension? I hear that's a thing now.

If there is a God, I would say the odds are pretty good right about now.

which was about 1.5 miles away. After a while it started drizzling, then raining. And then suddenly it was pouring and there were lightning strikes.

It suddenly occurred to me that I was in danger. So I started running. The dog didn't mind - he said "we should do this more often, just not in a downpour".

We were a couple of wet rats by the time we got home. It probably would have been smarter to go into a store, but by the time the downpour started we were past the businesses.

It was scary. I only know what the weatherpeople tell me. And they don't tell me everything.

A long time friend of mine. His brother & wife were at the beach. Rain started up, then thunder, lightning. They were heading back, when she realized she'd lost her wedding ring.

He ran back out to get it, and zap! He was gone! 😢 A good guy, too.
Some in his circles wondered if suicide by lightening strike.

Article in newspaper next day. Cut out it. But folded it inward. I'd run into it every once in a while. What's this? Then I'd open it, and ..... oh. 😔

So....Be Careful out there!!!

Waaaay back on family vacation we were on the highway. Raining, and dark grey sky. Top of a hill with a big dip in front of us, and about the same height of hill ahead afterwards.

Looking across this fat, ribbon of lighting came down somewhere over just behind the hill. Like a 60 yr or so memory!
.
About ?15 yrs ago met a friend for dinner. Taking a bus back, it was coming to a wider circular area w lots of trees.

I wasn't looking ahead, but leftward. Suddenly an incredibly bright lightening flash was reflected in one of the bus's metal poles! There was an incredible, beautiful violet color surrounding the white flash!
Nature, even in NYC!

I think we had to wait bc a tree limb went down, and had to be hauled away.
