Trump's fawning display with the murderous Russian dictator, and his hostility to actual U.S. allies

...Trump is broadcasting a deliberate signal to the world that alliances with the U.S. don't matter under the Trump regime; democracy doesn't matter; genocide is fine; laws don't matter; and that this country which used to proclaim itself an 'exceptional' beacon of hope and freedom to the world is an international gangster seeking favor and business with other like-minded autocrats who want a partner in their own repression, subjugation, and rapid appropriations of their country's wealth for their own personal enrichment.

What has to be the most intriguing for present and would-be totalitarians is to watch Trump corrupt and rob our nation of it's expectations of morality and truth from our leaders; and to watch him tear down our institutions of equity and accountability which have represented to the world this nation's ambition for good, even if we fell short of those ideals.

Trump reminds of a degenerate child who does nothing but look to inspire whoever he can to share in and compound his zeal to tear down everything Americans rely on to achieve a financial foothold; or provide for their families; care for their health and safety; educate our children; and be part of a nation that's not fearful, but friendly to those who share basic values of freedom, justice, and non-aggression toward each other, while fiercely defending against anyone who would threaten those ideals.

It's a race to the bottom for our nation ,with Trump, sapping off help and hope, here at home and around the world. We're fast moving toward just another totalitarian nation, with a Supreme Court which not only enabled a convicted felon into office, giving him invented immunity for criminality performed in the course of his regular duties; ruling that NO official act could even be used in the evidentiary chain to prove this president broke the law - and they still sit there, the maga majority on the Court still enabling his autocracy and abuse of the legislature, and poised to allow even more of the destruction of the 20th century of American progress against bigotry, slavery, racism, misogyny and the corruption of our government officials.

Now our federal government is just a mob of thugs looking to extort anyone and everyone to whatever they decide they want; whatever they decide is proper from the elevation of office that WE allowed them to serve in.

And they've advanced their fascism to deploying military forces in Democratic cities and states, using clear lies and characterizations of residents as criminals and threats; all to not only intimidate Americans to accept their autocratic rule, but to actually force it upon us by leapfrogging over our elected officials to install their totalitarian dominance over us - all the while spending billions OUR money to further their repression with an unaccountable army of white supremacists who they've recruited with appeals to protect their scared selves from the men, women, and children who seek refuge in this country who've been branded by actual criminals and criminal supporters as less than deserving of a supposedly free nation's beneficence.

Putin has to be giving Donald props for deploying troops in his own nation, against his own citizens. But more importantly for the Russian dictator, his mob buddy has gifted this war criminal who is facing arrest in at least 123 countries with a welcome to America befitting a foreign dignitary, complete with a red carpet and a platform to stand side by side with the U.S. president as he applauds him.

What a performance.
