"Arabs denounce Netanyahu remarks on 'Greater Israel' including parts of Lebanon"

This is the title to an article from the Lebanese news site "Naharnet" dated 08/15/25. As has been pointed out before the remarks by Netanyahu supporting a "Greater Israel" based on taking and keeping territory in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan is at the heart of the rabid right wing in Israeli government and politics. As the article points out:

"The term Greater Israel refers to a biblical interpretation of the nation's territory during the time of King Solomon, encompassing not only the present-day Palestinian territories of Gaza and the occupied West Bank, but also parts of modern Jordan, Lebanon and Syria."

This is a move that clearly shows that the claims by the government of Israel that the "only thing" it's military actions are ever about is "defending" itself. In practice it becomes the long desired land grab. Obviously this all brings into focus whether the words and agreements of the rabid right wing are ever anything other than a maneuver in a strategy to expand the borders. The article notes the interview in which Netanyahu spoke:

"Asked on Tuesday by i24NEWS interviewer Sharon Gal if he subscribed to such a "vision" for a Greater Israel, Netanyahu said "absolutely", adding, "If you ask me what I think, we're there."

"Greater Israel" will never have firm borders. The MO will be to provoke skirmishes that become wars, where Israel will capture territory belonging to other countries and just keep it. And then claim the military and government had to do it for "security".

It's more than attaining more water, which Israel is rapidly running out of.
