Note that our posts are all highlighted in yellow right now.

If this thread continues our yellow will go away and the newer posts will be highlighted.

It's a nifty feature if you're following a flame war. Makes it easy to see that somebody responded today in that sub thread started three days ago.

On closer inspection I see there's an option to highlight posts with recs.

I'm only half getting this too.

Also I'm afraid to post photos for fear of revealing my bank account or something.

Watch a thread and notice how the most recent posts appear in yellow. This makes it easy to see the new posts - even if they're way up in a sub thread.

It has nothing to do with recs.

I can click on "none," which doesn't highlight anything, "newest posts," or "recommended posts."

I just noticed this. So I see that there is a way to highlight posts with the most recs.

I'm on my laptop, the options are different I think.
Phones are too tiny for these weary eyes.
