Hyperbole much?

Just taking California, I’d say any one of Jerry Brown’s four terms outshines both of Newsom’s (I am a California native)

On top of that, here are some other better governors than Newsom:

Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan- got more done in one year with a one seat majority in the legislature than Newsom has with supermajorities in both chambers

Tim Walz of Minnesota - effective, progressive Governor with the biggest heart you could ask for. Since losing last November, Walz has been going to red states/districts and holding town halls where the Republicans have been too scared to, instead of hosting MAGA minions on his podcast, as Newsom has done.

Also, neither Walz nor Whitmer have thrown trans people under the bus as Newsom has.

While I have been enjoying Newsom’s trolling of Trump and aggressive response to the Texas redistricting, I don’t think either of those means he is the Dem’s best choice for 2028.

Newsom isn’t even in my top 10 for 2028.

Both of whom had major progressive social programs for the time and set the state up for future success.

The earlier we do, the sooner the R's have a target to lie about and scapegoat with the help of the media. But we should be evaluating all the possibilities based on what the wanna be candidate does to oppose this administration. And we should rally around anyone who is doing that to avoid giving any talking points to the media or the Rs. Plenty of time to pick our candidate after seeing all the options and what they offer!

But he is currently the front runner and obviously wants the job.

It’s too bad we didn’t have a primary last year, he’d probably be the President right now and we could sleep at night.

It's impossible to state the damage that will be done to our country and the world, overall. We are going to need someone who can deliver on big ideas.

We've seen the results of years of wimpy-ass, good-conduct Democratic tendencies---we have a filthy, gold-plated White House, along with about a million other things going down the toilet in this country. Get angry and hit the streets, Democrats!
