Right now I am watching a documentary called "Quisling - The Final Days"
about the arrest and trial of Quisling after Hitler's death and the defeat of Nazi Germany. There is some old footage of hundreds of people in the streets, cheering and waving flags as the car carrying Quisling to jail goes by following his arrest. Naturally, my imagination travels to a modern version of such a scene, also involving a lot of people in the streets, cheering and waving flags...
Quisling claimed to the end that he was a martyr, only acting in the best interests of the people, absolutely unrepentant. Quisling died (by execution) in October of 1945; Trump was born in June of 1946, almost 9 months later. Reincarnation?
