I just did a price check on 4 items I regularly buy. Here's compared to 1/07/2025

Dozen large eggs. $3.99. (down from $5.99)
1 gal 2% milk. 2.79. (no change)
Iceberg lettuce. 2.89. (up from 2.79)
1 gal unleaded gas. 3.14. (up from 3.09)

What the heck is Orange Slobby talking about regarding prices way down?

This morning, too. While I didn't compare food prices, I did notice regular gas was priced at $2.81/gallon at the station adjacent to the store which accepts points earned on groceries to reduce the price of gas at the affiliated station. I haven't seen gas priced At $2.81 (no points) for a long time, and even remarked about it to the cashier when I checked out.

I also paid $3.69 for a dozen large eggs and $1.99.for half gallon of 1% milk .

Durham, NC.

-Green Giant individual servings Frozen vegetables (multiple types all priced similarly) sauced or not $1.79 (up from 1.09 each)
- Kroger's natural peanut butter $2.29 (up from 1.79)
-1 gallon windshield wiper fluid $3.99 (up from 2.99)
-Stash Moroccan green mint teabags $4.48 (up from 2.87)

Gas varies depending on season (anti-Ozone compounds added in summertime) so I will just call it variable but not dramatically different.

by 12-14 ounce bags instead of the previous one pound. That's quite a price hike.

Most everything is up or unchanged. The overall total has been considerably higher the past three months.

$2.30 to $3.00 a gallon, depending on what the market is doing and the season. It's about $2.45 today, depending on the station (smaller chain and mom and pop convience stores tend to be less expensive, larger ones like shell and exxon are more expensive).
Don't do eggs, but milk is about $3.00 a gallon, depending on brand.

We rarely have pricr changes compared to other chains.
There are a few items where the prices have increased noticeably.

Meat, poultry and fish 80/20 ground beef was $4.99 a pound last month now $5.99
Ground turkey and chicken had the same increase and beef even more

Coffee (store brand small bag) went from $4.99 last year to $8.99 currently

Chocolate has increased quie a bit which has increased prices on all cookies and candies.

What surprised me was the increase in orange juice. It went from $3.49 for a half gallon to $5.99.

Most fruits and vegetables are in season so little to no change in pricing. I'm pretty sure that will change this winter if the tarrifis remain in place.
