If you are a woman and a Trump supporter, you don't get to play the feminism card

You want to support Trump as a female, fine. But then you are forfeiting the right to play the feminist card. You are fair game for being mocked for your appearance, the way you dress, your tone of voice, and being mansplained to. As well as having your qualifications belittled and dismissed as unserious or the product of DEI.

Supporting Trump is repudiation of feminism, so if you are female and you choose to do that, you are fair game.

Calling a woman "fair game" cuz she disagrees with you, isn't a progressive, feminist view. -nt CrispyQ Aug 2025 #1

that this would be confusing to some.

Any "card" simply means allegience with any group, play it or not.

Number one, feminism isn't a "card" to be played. It's the belief that women deserve to be treated with dignity equal to men. So stating that it's some kind of special "card" is already an anti-feminist move.

Second, no matter how loathsome a person is, it's never an excuse for us to suddenly act in a bigoted way. We can certainly point out their hypocrisy, but using their behavior as an excuse to engage in or cheer on equally loathsome behavior is not a win.

So, no.

I can't legitimize the use of sexism to denigrate. Just keeps it going which hurts all of us.
