Stole that from Richard Stengel on MSNBC. He went on to explain for non football fans (like me) that they're going to surround Zelensky like the key players surround their quarterback and all push together towards a common goal. They willnot allow a repeat of that Oval Office travesty.
To the Europeans, and it sounds like they weren't even invited. They just informed trump that they're coming!

In the tush push, key players surround the QB and all push together to move the ball forward. Much like a rugby scrum. (I know, another obscure sports term 
)
