Thousands of Ozempic Lawsuits for irreversible blindness & other side effects

MSM - “Study Links Popular Diabetes and Weight-Loss Drug to Irreversible Blindness”

A growing wave of lawsuits is targeting Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of the widely used drugs Ozempic and Wegovy, following a recent study that suggests a link between the medications and a sudden, irreversible form of vision loss. The condition, known as Nonarteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION), has reportedly affected thousands of users, with legal claims now totaling billions of dollars.

The core of the legal action revolves around the alleged failure of Novo Nordisk to adequately warn consumers about the potential for vision-related side effects.

"The American Association of Ophthalmology suggests that Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs can cause blindness or vision loss in several ways," Robert King Law said in a statement. "The most common vision problem associated with Ozempic and other semaglutides is diabetic retinopathy. Other, more sudden changes in vision, like eye strokes and NAION, can lead to blindness, particularly in one eye. We expect future studies on vision loss associated with Ozempic use to be an important part of the Ozempic vision loss lawsuits." https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/vision-loss-lawsuits-mount-against-ozempic-manufacturer/ar-AA1KAKAK

Besides the around 2000 vision lawsuits, there are 1221 cases filed in District of Pennsylvania for other side effects - gastric, hair loss, blood clots etc.

2. As another side effect, when Randi Rhodes was still on the air, she described Pam Bondi as having "Ozempic face."

“The term ‘Ozempic face’ refers to the changes in the face that can happen with rapid weight loss,” explains endocrinologist Vinni Makin, MD. “It’s characterized by gauntness, sunken cheeks, new wrinkles and loose skin on the face and neck.”

‘Ozempic face’ isn’t a side effect of the medication itself. Rather, it’s a side effect of the rapid weight loss the medication can bring.

This term first became popular on social media after a celebrity dermatologist used the term to refer to the way that Ozempic (generic name: semaglutide) affected some of his patients. But it’s not a medical term, and it’s probably not one you’ll hear your healthcare provider use. It’s also not limited to taking Ozempic.

4. Not necessarily vanity

Heavier people can have joint and back issues and losing the weight this way helps ease the problems.
Sometimes they need to lose weight this way to address blood chemistry issues as the added weight can add strain on the gallbladder and other glands.

7. In Bondi's case, I'll go with vanity. She has to compete with the Trump women with their plastic faces and fat lips.

Bondi was not fat.

My daughter, a highly accomplished and successful plaintiff attorney cautions, be suspect of any drug that has to advertise on television.

blindness as a side effect is terrifying tbh. idk how they can market this stuff without mentioning it might ruin your eyes. i saw these Ozempic lawsuits that talk about permanent damage from the drug and it makes you think twice. better to be safe and get a checkup if things look off.
