I still don't trust him. Not one single bit.

And by him, I mean Trump.

And obviously Putin as well.

I listened to both the public portions of the one-on-one between Trump and Zelensky and Trump and all the European leaders. It was all fairly cordial. Certainly a lot more cordial than February. I know Zelensky and the European leaders have to do the whole song-and-dance flattery deal for Trump simply to keep it from devolving into what we saw in February and keeping some sort of hope alive for Ukraine.

But with Trump, I fear there is always a default to factory settings, so to speak.

And those factory settings default to Putin. I just don't see Trump ever breaking free from Putin. I don't think he has the desire to break free from Putin.

Putin's the strongman that Trump wants to be. None of that namby-pamby democracy stuff from Europe or Zelensky.

So while it seemed like all smiles, I just don't see a whole lot getting accomplished. Trump still blames Zelensky (and Biden, for some reason) for Putin's war and thinks it's incumbent on him to stop it and concede large swaths of its own territory to Putin.

And how could they ever do that? Why would they ever do that?

Sorry but I think this one is permanently broken. There's no fixing Trump.

He's a known liar.

He has been lying since 2015.

33,000 lies his first term.

His entire cult are known liars.

None of them would have been elected or appointed without telling lie after lie.

It is a cult.

He is the cult leader.

He has destroyed the republican party.

Someone that dishonest isn't going to change.

Never trust a word coming from his mouth.
