Do these guys think theyâre in an 80âs cop comedy? Theyâre obviously stalking Letitia Jamesâ house and theyâre obviously feds.

(25,751 posts)We should be calling 911 every time one of these bastards sneezes.
File police reports, files charges, get them and their identities on record, document their presence with pictures, file personal lawsuits against INDIVIDUALS who engage in this behavior.
The solution to this is to hold individuals accountable. We may not be able to haul Trump or the AG into Court, but we can sure as hell sue and press charges against their minions. Maybe when these goons realize they are going to end up trying to justify their BS in front of a Judge they will make better choices in the future.

I know most police departments wont hire candidates with IQs over 104, but youd think the Feds would have higher standards.

Read N.Y. judge's full Trump civil fraud summary judgment
https://www.msnbc.com/deadline-white-house/deadline-legal-blog/full-text-trump-civil-fraud-ruling-new-york-pdf-rcna117499
The essence of the summary judgement was Trump's army of lawyers couldn't refute the evidence AG James had collected to establish her case well enough to make it an issue for trial. So there would be no trial over that. The trial was over bickering about how much the fraud damages were that was eventually decided at: ~$454 mil.
If it had not been for the statute of limitations, it probably would have been much higher.
"Preponderance of the evidence" is the legal standard used in civil cases - their version of the facts is more likely than not to be true. But if you read the docket as I did, you feel like AG James hit the criminal standard: "beyond a reasonable doubt" - a very high degree of certainty.
Look at the analysis:
https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=AZZxPVLi3GbCD7i0pGls0Q==
AG James also made referrals to the IRS and SDNY for this behavior.
Trump employed 16 different fraudulent deceptive strategies on 23 assets committing about 500 fraudulent acts which she proved in a court of law. But according to Trump, Attorney General of NY Letitia James was wrong for doing her job to look into these fraudulent acts and prove they occurred and Trump is now sending the DoJ to go after her.
In a normal past world when the US media did real journalism, this wouldn't stand. The DoJ would not act on political retribution. But here we are ...
