Situation in Serbia getting no attention on DU?

Putin puppet Aleksandar Vucic is responding with a heavy hand to mass protests across Serbia demanding new elections and his resignation after 12 years of fascist rule.

CNN seems to be taking the side of the "populist leader" (a fascist shitbag) against the so-called "rioters."

Pay attention, DUers, especially those constantly calling for "mass protests." This is the template.

>>> The clashes this week marked a major escalation following more than nine months of largely peaceful demonstrations that started after a concrete canopy collapsed at a train station in Serbia’s north, killing 16 people.

Many in Serbia blamed the tragedy on alleged widespread corruption in state-run infrastructure projects that they say fueled poor renovation work. The Serbian president has faced accusations of stifling democratic freedoms while allowing organized crime and corruption to flourish. He has denied this.

Serbia is formally seeking EU membership, but Vucic has maintained strong ties with Russia and China. On Sunday, he praised Russia’s backing for his government against what he called a “colored revolution” against his government.

The 2nd Amendment.

They have gun ownership in Serbia but it is heavily regulated - and even more so since 2023.

We need to be tactical.

I was getting racist death threats dropped through the mail slot of my front door BEFORE I was elected. I average 12 a week on my Borough email. These maggots are referencing what I was wearing at Shoprite the day before.

Did you miss the assassination of Melissa Hortman and her husband? The injuries to her dog leading him to be put down?

The attempted assassination of John Hoffman and his wife?

The unleashing of the US Military and National Guard on brown and Black Americans?

The mysterious *suicides* by hanging of Black men recently?

The American Leftist can't protect us. We are on our own. Black Americans are on our own - as we have always been except for election season. That's not even guaranteed anymore.

So absolutely YES. It's only a matter of time before the evil ones come through my front door or side door. Those locks were for their protection not mine.

When the color of your skin protects you, its easy to be shocked.

over a decade now. It's beyond infuriating.

But I agree that it seems very calculated--to say the least--how little attention this is getting in the US.
