How can ANYONE be discussing "Security Guarantees" in Ukraine?
The US and Europe gave security guarantees to Ukraine after Ukraine gave up it's nuclear arsenal with the fall of the Soviet Union.
How did THAT work out! Lavrov showed up in Alaska sporting a shirt with a CCCP (USSR) logo. They want the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact back.
Neither the Russians or the Americans can be trusted to keep their word. Both countries are now run by mobsters who are so transactional that nations see treaties as bullshit.
Russia is on the ropes militarily and financially. Now is NOT the time to use appeasement to temporarily stop the fighting. They will not stop until red stars are flying from Warsaw to Juneau.
