3. I doubt those who decide about the prizes

would look kindly on Krasnov's history as a felon and all-around ne'er-do-well. They don't want to tarnish the Nobel brand.

Maybe they could satisfy Krasnov by saying he has won a No Bell prize, and given that he probably has no idea of how to spell the name, they could give him a box with ribbons and a few fake medallions inside, none of which is a bell.

Or something like that.
