Trump claims to have ended six wars is that true?
Trump and his administration claim to have helped settle conflicts from the Middle East to Asia, yet the reality is more complex

As he touted his bona fides as the so-called peacemaker-in-chief during talks over Ukraine at the White House on Tuesday, Donald Trump made two big claims: that he wants peace deals instead of ceasefires, and that he has ended six wars since he became president.
But in his haste to hammer out a peace deal in Ukraine, Trump is playing fast and loose with the truth.
Trump and his administration have claimed to have helped settle the conflicts between Israel and Iran, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, Cambodia and Thailand, India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, and Egypt and Ethiopia.
Yet the claim to have settled those conflicts is embellished and in some cases contradicted by continued violence in countries like DR Congo, where Rwanda-backed rebels missed a deadline to reach a peace deal in Doha on Tuesday.
In Iran, the US carried out its own strikes using bunker-buster bombs against military and nuclear facilities before strong-arming Iran to accept a ceasefire. India has denied that Trump played any role in reaching a ceasefire deal with Pakistan to end days of strikes over the disputed Kashmir territory in May. Egypt and Ethiopia have no deal to settle the root of their conflict a Nile River dam constructed by Ethiopia that would divert water from Egypt. And Serbia has denied it had any plans to pursue a war with Kosovo, although Trump took credit for preventing one.

The war against competence,
And best of all:
The war against democracy.
This last is still up for grabs, but he's won some major battles and intends to keep plugging away at it until final victory.

Problem 1: He hasnât settled six wars.
Problem 2: Most the resolutions he wants credit for have been the result of ceasefires. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

Soon after, as part of a larger discussion with European leaders, he pushed the same line: In the six wars that Ive settled, we havent had a ceasefire.

....The White House has never released a formal list of the five, six or seven wars that Trump has ostensibly ended, but the president did use his social media platform over the weekend to highlight a list put together by Roger Stone, a longtime GOP operative and Trump ally. It claimed that the president has achieved peace between:
India and Pakistan
Israel and Iran
Serbia and Kosovo
Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo
Thailand and Cambodia
Armenia and Azerbaijan
Saudi Arabia, Syria and Lebanon (Abraham Accords)
....In reality, when tensions eased between India and Pakistan, that was a ceasefire. When Thailand and Cambodia stopped firing at one another, that was also a ceasefire. When Israel and Iran stopped trading shots, that, too, was a ceasefire.
In other words, Trump not only cant keep track of his own dubious claim, and not only can he not back it up with specifics, hes also flubbing the details of his own boast in ways he really ought to understand

*I'm actually not sure I saw the episode, but was told of it after a time 40 years ago, when I worked in LA and stopped to avoid hitting a jogging George Takei.
