Will he now send his goons to Minneapolis, they way he did in D.C.?

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said in a press conference that in the early morning hours on Tuesday, more than 100 vehicles were reported damaged in Minneapolis. He added that dozens of other vehicles were damaged in the same time period across other cities in the metro.

At around 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning, a stolen white Kia Sorento was spotted in north Minneapolis, which was the same vehicle that Brooklyn Park police had pursued a few hours earlier in connection with the break-ins.

The vehicle was tracked and officers arrested three suspects who have been booked for auto theft. Investigators are still working to determine their exact connection to the string of car break-ins.

O’Hara noted that all three juveniles have been arrested before, and two of them are “very well known” to the police department.

Law enforcement added that another stolen vehicle believed to be involved in some of the damage was recovered on Tuesday.

“These crimes, while oftentimes property damage, have taken a very significant impact on our community,” O’Hara said. “It’s taken a toll on the victims, on the community and on the officers that are trying to manage, at times, dozens and dozens of reports as they come in. Stopping this problem has become one of our highest priorities.”

In total, O’Hara said that in the last month and a half, over 500 vehicles have been damaged in Minneapolis.
