So this whoever-pundit declares our issues in 2024 (and beyond/back-forth) were the *CORRECT* ones, duh!

The brief blurb about him says he's an environmentalist, so one of ours, but I didn't read his pundit piece past the obligatory dig at Dems to the effect that we always screw ourselves out of any advantage. And, reminder, "pundit" means "learned," which might call into question many yakkers.

So his learned dictum that the salient issues will be "democracy ... openness ... science" gives rise to a *HUH?* and the question: What the heck *HAVE* we been talking about forever if not those things?!

Trump's new 'emergency' could be his downfall — if Democrats exploit it | Opinion
Opinion by Bill McKibben

.... The next two elections should be decided on the great questions of democracy versus authoritarianism, openness versus racism, science versus ignorance. But my guess is that electric bills may play at least as large a role. ....

*** William Ernest McKibben is an American environmentalist, author, and journalist who has written extensively on the impact of global warming. He is the Schumann Distinguished Scholar at Middlebury College and leader of the climate campaign group 350.org. Wikipedia

Bernie Sanders talks w Bill McKibben
Bernie & Bill -- long time friends and fellow activists -- discuss the record heatwaves sweeping the globe as we speak, the growth of renewable energy and how much time we have to save our planet, and what a second Trump term would mean for climate change.

regarding McKIBBEN (about whom I knew nothing before this) was his listing of the correct issues that many pundit yakkers have been nagging us against in their rehashes of what-Dems-did-wrong, with his correct issues being exactly what we focused on in 2024. I acknowledged that he was one of ours.
