Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, South Carolina and Ohio Are Sending National Guard Troops to "Fight" Crime in D.C.

Despite murder rates being higher in their states. The following are the 2024 murder rates per 100,000 residents:

D.C.: 17
Jackson, MS: 77
Baton Rouge, LA: 36
Memphis, TN: 48
No. Charleston, SC: 26
Cleveland, OH: 29

Their citizens would be better served if their National Guard were deployed in their home states. But there's no longer critical thinking in the Republican Party, it's just reflexive and policy is mostly performative. President Trump needs a distraction from the Epstein scandal, so he creates a crisis. He tells GOP Governors to jump and they don't even bother to ask how high, they just start jumping.

Trump's afraid of losing control of the House, so he tells Texas to create more GOP leaning districts and, voila, the Texas Governor immediately calls a Special Session to do so. Trump claims crime is high in D.C. and sends in the National Guard, and six Republican Governors rush to send their own National Guard to D.C.

I'm guessing that these assclowns have in their minds that they will be getting the redo of the civil war they's been longing for all these decades.

I hope that no hurricanes hit the Gulf Coast this year. Because there won't be any National Guard troops to help out in Louisiana or Mississippi.

Nothing the current republicans are doing actually does anything for the country but they put on a show like they’re doing things to fool people into continuing the narrative.
