Mario Cuomo was awesome! What happened to his sons?

Mario Cuomo was one of the last great Democrats, a man of principle who could inspire with both his words and his integrity. I adored him. Which makes it all the more baffling how both of his sons ended up so far from the example he set. Andrew with his arrogance and corruption, Chris with his ego-driven media antics. How did the children of such a decent man turn out to be his opposite?

I am not the only influence in my children’s lives.

Seems to be true in this case.

After they've tossed their scruples, you always see them explaining away their lives.

being the sons of a Governor they grew up with a lot of privilege. Instead of appreciating their good fortune, they assumed it was their due.
