Carville's missing one critical point with his JD Vance "strategy."
...and that is MAGAts / Trump / anyone in that orbit LIVING TO PLAY THE ROLE OF MARTYR / VICTIM.
It's not the idea that they whimper and moan and stamp their feet and post 1000 "big meanie libs are saying mean things about YOU" memes.
REMEMBER how many times in his first term that Trump, especially during his court battles, SAID "They're not coming after ME, they're coming after YOU?"
So yeah, I don't advocate pussyfooting around with Vance, but a full-frontal assault as Carville advocates will only trigger everything I wrote above and influence some unknown percentage of voters to embrace them. I've seen it happen too many times to pretend that it wouldn't.
