I still think we should run high-name-recognition celebrities

*especially* in all these gerrymandered districts. I know nearly everyone here opposes this idea, but I think we need to use every advantage we have, and one is certainly that lots and lots of celebrities are liberal. If they have residency in red gerrymandered districts, or can get one, I think we should encourage that, even as a stop-gap measure to stop the distruction. We really need to treat this midterm as the last checkpoint. It's the only viable strategy I can think of to combat Trump.

and nationalize the House election. I’d pick 5-6 key issues (and they cant all be “get Trump”!) where we go all out on only top issues most people care about (i.e. economy, immigration, crime, education, etc.) and stay on message. Running on more impeachments and 47 investigations will not win. Stay away from distracting cultural issues that animate the thin edges of the bell curve in both parties. Appear moderate and reasonable. Win first. Then, get Trump and all the other fun stuff.

And if a celebrity can help, then sure.

Maybe if the right celebrity came along. In this political climate who would even want the job? It can be literally dangerous.
