We bought half the normal amount of groceries yesterday and I still ended up paying $175

I'm paying about $400 a month for food / household staples / etc.

My girlfriend is paying another $400 on top of that.

And we're not eating steaks every night. Matter of fact, I think the last steak we had was six months ago. Maybe longer.

The question I have is that when Trump says "This is the new golden age! We're taking in BILLIONS from the tariffs!"

...WHY DON'T MORE AMERICANS respond with "You're getting that money from ME. EVERYTHING COSTS MORE and I AM PAYING YOUR F*CKING TARIFFS?"

Price is about half that than at the big name brand stores. Some in the family are picky about certain items but I can make generics taste just fine. I’m too good of a cook, actually, which my scales tell me daily.

We basically have Food Lion, Walmart, and Aldi. We shop at all three. My girlfriend likes to get milk, eggs, butter, etc from Aldi because it's always cheaper there.

We're both good cooks as well. "Dining out"...it's a major issue here as every restaurant in town has staffing issues. Food quality is sketchy at best. It's a town of grease, cheese, gravy, and more grease. The antidote is "home cooking."

I used Aldi to stock up on steam-able vegetables, can goods, finger foods and 93% lean hamburger (When they have it). Also bread from there is cheaper than anywhere else. Not a fan of their fruits so go to my local grocer for those. Pay a little more but better quality. It is good to have options.

Perhaps you are overlooking the big stacks of cash towering in your living room.

For some reason I cannot find anything in my house either.
