A not so eloquent note to Arnold Schwarzenegger

Quit trying to screw up efforts Californians need to make to counter the shit in Texas. I applaud your ethics on the topic of gerrymandering, but the time for an actual fix has long past. Your newly forming unholy alliance with Kevin McCarthy and others of his ilk will only make things worse than they are. Quit FAFO'ing and get behind Newsom before our democracy is completely gone. The United States is badly damaged and our wounds are only getting deeper. You need to reflect on your past involvement in this decline and stand up for the people being hurt by the nasty bullies running our government for their own profit. I am not naive enough to say this hasn't always been an issue, but now it's in your face for what could be your very last chance to change it. Quit your stupid shit and get on board.

But, he said, sinking to the same level in California was no answer, and it made no difference to him that Newsom was pitching his plan as a temporary arrangement. “We are not going to go into a stinking contest with a skunk,” he said. “We are moving forward.”

if Trump gets his way.

It’s stupid to stand on high moral ground when you’re being metaphorically shot at.

Just because he doesn't support Trump and isn't a full blown MAGA, doesn't make him any less of an asshole.

I usually enjoy Arnold's movies, but when it comes to politics he needs to button his lip.

authoritarian state. The Republicans cannot be allowed to retain the house in 2026. If they do, the ball game's over. Should a Democrat win the 2028 presidential election, even by a landslide, a Republican house will NEVER certify the election, and we will be forever screwed. We have to respond to them in kind no matter how distasteful to retain what freedoms we still have and to stop the current lawlessness and madness. Arnold doesn't seem to know or care what this fight is really about.

Senate Republics blocked an attempt to ban partisan redistricting.

Red states are can and have exploited it to the max. The alternative to reciprocity is surrender to authoritarianism forever.
