"Someone should explain to Trump that when ICE starts murdering civilians on his request, he will be criminally liable"

Last week, Donald Trump directed hundreds of masked agents and soldiers, who may soon be armed, to “do whatever the hell they want,” presumably to whomever the hell they want, on the streets of the US capital.

Someone should do Trump a solid and explain, slowly, that when ICE starts murdering civilians on his request, he will be criminally liable for the bloodshed, and the Supreme Court's immunity ruling won’t save him.

US soldiers, trained to kill, are also trained to obey. But when a Commander-in-Chief authorizes clear violations of federal law, soldiers have a legal duty to disobey.

The good news is that four out of five troops who were recently polled said they understand their duty to reject illegal commands.

I'm assuming murdering innocent civilians in the street because they're not wearing red hats doesn't meet that criteria.

He's ordering members of the Executive Branch to commit certain acts, while acting in his official capacity.

The vagueness of the SC decision makes it even more dangerous.

He tried to have the E Jean Carroll defamation judgement against him thrown out because he considered defaming her after being defined as an adjudicated rapist was "within his official duties as president," or perhaps more accurately, "he did it while he was president so no one can touch him."

He isn't going to make through a trial after his presidency if one were to actually exist. He's living in the moment, doing whatever the fuck he wants knowing he's likely dead of natural causes before anyone could do anything to him ever again. There are no checks, no balances on him. He will keep fucking around.
