What the Democratic Party Needs

It's not just needing a leader; we need a Winston Churchill. Gavin Newsom has come the closest, but it's not enough.

It is very hard for people to realize how close the world was on the brink in the summer of 1940. Most of Europe was under Nazi control and even in Britian, many pleaded with Churchill to make peace with Hitler because they felt it was hopeless.Defiantly, Churchill refuse to give in and fight to the end.

I want some one to tell Trump that we will NEVER give in to his lawlessness and that we will fight his attempted dictatorship.I would also tell all elected Republicans that we will hold them accountable as well.

Take the fight to them with the same resistance Churchill showed Hitler.

is to stop dithering. Get off its dead azz and stop doing what it's doing, which is hanging onto some old dead party "leaders" who are basically talking to themselves. Listen to the young Democrats who are trying to talk to them instead of pushing them away. LET THEM IN! Because it's a basic truth that if you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you always got. Apparently the Old Guard has yet to learn that lesson. Do we need to take them back to 1968? AGAIN?

Within the party, finding that one person that placates everyone will be a tall order. I agree that Newsom is probably the closest we have right now. If she were about 10 years younger, HRC would get my vote. But, even she would have issues appealing to some in the party.

Obama could fit the bill, but having already been President, he’s sort of already shot his wad. Still, he’s very valuable.

This is a discussion well worth having.
