I know we haven't, no matter how much time has passed. While all my uncles, grandfather, and father served in either Europe or the Pacific and are long deceased now, I still take their sacrifices against Hitler's Nazi Germany and Japan's Hirohito to heart. It pains me that history appears not to be passed down nor widely taught.
