Aldous Huxley interviewed by Mike Wallace : 1958

67 years ago. I found it astonishingly accurate. If you're interested in the insights and warnings from the past that we missed, this is worth a 30 minute listen.

Thank you for posting. I read 1984, but did not read Brave New World (I think I should now read that book).

Amazing. He was so far ahead of his time.

and just thought of it as a pretty good science fiction story. But I stumbled across this interview and was amazed at his foresight. He describes what's going on right now better than most people right now can describe it.

Without a well-educated population, a democracy can’t survive.

There is a reason for the Republicans’ decades-long assault on public education. Poorly educated citizens can he more easily manipulated and here we are today.
