All the bluster. The lying. The bullying. The bullshit. The destruction. The machismo. The stupidity. The bragging.

(17,764 posts)The questions they ask with the straight faces just about kill me. We need some journalists willing to ask some tough questions and stand up to the bullying, the bullshit, the destruction, the machismo, the stupidity AND MORE THAN ANYTHING, the bragging.
Since I am ALWAYS asked what *I* would want someone to do, here's a suggestion:
"Mr. President, you stopped SIX wars? Well, I wasn't aware of that. Can you please name them for me?"
[Typical Trump retort to change the subject and make the journalist look foolish].
"So, you aren't able to name them, Mr. President?"
[Trump strategically moving to next journalist]
"Yeah, Mr. President...about those six wars that you say you stopped..."
Lather. Rinse. Repeat. And stick the fuck together as one journalistic body!

(29,809 posts)Rather symbolic that he rode down rather than up, isn't it? Showing us he planned to take the USA down.

(882 posts)over 70 million people support someone who is so obviously flawed. Even now with all the obvious corruption and cruel, destructive and stupid policies, he still has about 40% job approval. In a sane society he would have 5%. And when he is gone, his supporters will still be here. Maybe a little weaker, but still a force. There is much work to do whether he's here or not.
Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
