Six GOP governors are sending National Guard troops to assist in Trump's D.C. crime crackdown, even though crime levels in major cities in some of those states are higher than in the U.S. capital.

(15,885 posts)If their real intent was to reduce crime in cities, provide better funding & training for year-round law enforcement, not this authoritarian theater of national guard troops.
Long term, make public schools, mentoring, and career opportunities a higher priority.

Plenty of stupid MAGAts, but many who can see what this is are cheering it on. They hate the same people, and won't see beyond their deplorable gratification to the day when they themselves are on the wrong end of fascism's insatiable need for power and control.
