I think that the "moderate Democratic politicians"

trying to work with the side actually trying to subvert democracy need to realize that they will get more votes from voters who don't see any point in voting than they will from Republican voters.

Of course we have a pay to play political system. Whether those "moderate Democratic politicians" can get more money from the hoi-polloi on the left than from corporations on the right is a different question.
