But they just love to be mad about something, and there is a female CEO, so that's another strike against them.

although I've heard people say it. He has one arm resting on the cracker barrel and the other hand on his knee.

I never noticed it, can't even say it is a whip, could be Internet B.S. that I saw at Reddit.

9. I see that now, but it doesn't look like a whip to me

It just appears to be something to outline the name.

Snopes says that some erroneously thought "Cracker Barrel" indicated a barrel of whips because a whip was also known in some places as a cracker, but Cracker Barrel actually comes from the literal barrel of crackers that were often found in country stores.

Maybe that's how the whip thing got started.

With that, I will be the first to admit, I have a very poor record of understanding RWers. Googled all the slang terms to "Cracker Barrel" obviously Souther centric, how the Barrel was the meeting spot in the South, so with that, I can see how the snowflakes are upset, a meeting spot free of any darkies, like when America was great.

I'm not even sure that cracker barrels were only found in southern country stores.

When I left Indiana in 2012, I knew of a few country stores that still survived near us. No cracker barrels in them, but always a bunch of old guys of whatever color just shooting the breeze. Usually chewing tobacco or snuff.

And the old white Republicans got riled up by Fox News and Trump jr about it because it was "DEI" or some stupid shit.

So now the old white guy is back.

Cass closed.

The new Cracker Barrel logo has managed to ignite an online controversy, the latest battleground of the culture war.

I haven't really figured out what "woke" is or who it is, who's woke nor which side of the culture war I'm on...

Got to get the old cracker and his cracker barrel back on there so the rubes know where to go to put on the feedbag and slop their piglets.

I don't particularly like the new logo. I have to admit I have not yet taken a graphic design class - but it looks to me like a boring version of Denny's logo. The old Cracker Barrell was probably too busy, but it was at least visually interesting.

13. Magas are soooo easily triggered. I've been in a Cracker Barrel twice, each time with a friend...

…who was a devotee and wanted to share. Two different states, two different friends.

The food at CB is okay but kinda heavy. I have nothing against it. My late mother in law thought IHOP was the best treat in the whole world, so we took her there, right?

The other thing is the place was packed to the rafters with cutsie nostalgic stuff. My friend got some of it for her grandkids. There was a lineup of wooden rocking chairs outside on the front porch, well-made at a fair price and as it happens I’ve wanted one for years, so I bought a rocker.

And that’s the extent of my interactions with Cracker Barrel. I don’t care about them one way or another, but they don’t offend me and if my friend invites me again I’ll go because I like her.

We live in strange times.

From my perspective, they could've at least kept the barrel.
