AFL-CIO president Liz Shuler: We wanted cheaper groceries--and we got tanks in our streets (Bluesky video)

Shuler: This is the choice working Americans have been given: chaos, or the same broken status quo.

We wanted cheaper groceries—and we got tanks in our streets.

We wanted affordable health care—and instead, 16 million Americans are about to be kicked off their coverage

Has tRump ever supported workers on a picket line? Biden has.

Did Harris warn about tRump chaos and using the military against citizens? Yes she did.

They had the evidence of tRump 1.0 and Jan 6.

Too many AFL-CIO made a stupid choice and now they are whining. It looks like more than 25% of workers voted for the Mango Mussolini.

That particular phrasing resonated with me on a personal level regarding the party but not in a union/labor context -- which perhaps I should've explained or better yet, kept to myself.

I’m keenly aware that had I different friends, family, upbringing, media consumption habits, I might have been susceptible to what the other side was selling. Biden was the first time I felt a perceptible impact on my life for the good so I do have a strong appreciation for him, please know that. But during other times in my life, there was enough struggle that I could’ve been deeply cynical about the choice we had. I know there’s people for whom TSF is just an excuse to be their worst self but I can also imagine people whose path to that vote wasn’t wholly that.
