One possible exception: Mallard Fillmore, which isn't even funny, most of the time, let alone true.

Whenever I read "shared sacrifice", no matter where (I notice all over the net I am reading little homilies that sound churned out by the hundred, about how the poster is living on SS but will be happy to tighten their belt for the good of the country), it makes me want to throw things.
Let the people who shared in the concentration of wealth tighten one of their belts.

and, at times, sense that the just compensation for my hard work is to be seen as a "gift".
I have learned to recognize these types of people and have adjusted my compensation skyward for them.
