If it isn't more economical to pay for a vaccine than for thousands or millions of their clients having to be hospitalized. Penny wise and pound foolish is not a way to make a profit.

It appears that killing off old and sick people by refusing to allow vaccines is the most lucrative option.

For example the flu vaccine is said to cut mortality by 18-50%.

So if vaccines are not allowed, the sick and old could die in significant numbers.
Which will save the insurance companies a lot of money in the long run.

as well as delays and denials for hospital and doctor charges.

This will destroy the patients, the doctors, and the hospitals.

I wonder if the mortuary business isn't behind this.....

I have 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. All but one got covid. Mild cases since all were vaccinated. I'm 76 and never got it. Where are all the tax revenues going to come from if they kill off the current and future work force?

The billionaires don’t need us any longer.

They have AI and robots to do the work.
And some people who will work for peanuts.

The rich are stealing all the world’s resources.
And stealing all the power from the govt.

They don’t need to sell us their cheap crap any more.

I don’t think that will work. Most young don’t feel they need medical insurance as they are bullet proof. The premiums will raise and more and more young (and old) will just gamble and hope that the ER will be there. That’s what this is becoming. Eventually with AI and cost rising nobody but the wealthy will be able to afford anything. The system will crash. Can’t always increase profits year after year after year after year. It’s unsustainable.

Trump has cut med school loans and politicized and criminalized health care.
So fewer people will go to med school.

There will be shortage of doctors. Those remaining will go into boutique practices for the rich.

You are correct. If they did the morally correct things (encouraging and paying for regular checkups, etc) they would save money.

But…

As someone downthread pointed out, they make more money by not paying for anything at all.

It may not be moral by normal standards, but they have been indoctrinated by universities and colleagues that it is immoral [/i to not make as much money as possible for their investors.

Now that’s a switch. Attorney Abbe Lowell also provided legal support to Jared and Ivanka, as well as Bill Clinton.
