rump claims he stopped four wars with tariffs

Updated on: 25 Aug 2025, 10:45 pm

... "Of the seven wars I stopped, four were because I had tariffs and trade, and I was able to say, 'If you go fight and want to kill everybody, that is okay, but I am going to charge you each a 100% tariff when you trade with us.' They all gave up..." Trump said.

He added, "We are taking trillions of dollars in tariffs and stopping wars due to tariffs... Other countries did it to us and now we are doing it to other countries" ...

President Trump on Friday said that he has stopped even more wars than he claimed to earlier this week, if the tally also includes “pre-wars.”

“I settled seven wars, and actually if you think about pre-wars, add three more so it would be 10,” Trump said in the White House when asked about the ongoing war in Ukraine, which continues despite his recent summits with Vladimir Putin and European leaders to end the conflict.

“I thought this would be in the middle of the pack in terms of difficulty,” Trump continued. “Now I’m not happy about anything about that war. Nothing. Not happy at all. We’ll see what happens. Over the next two weeks we’re going to find out which way it’s going to go” ...

3. I've never wanted a complete psychological evaluation

for anyone as much as The Felon. God, I wish there were some way we could make him submit to it. I really want to know what's wrong with him, in detail, in the learned opinions of the most qualified medical scientists.

We've gotten a lot from his niece, but I want to know more -- not just the what, but the why, going as far back in his childhood as possible. From what we have heard, I'd say he was mentally and emotionally abused almost from birth. But, what were the specific abuses, and what effect(s)did they have?

Shrinks have already diagnosed him. Technically, he has anti-social personality disorder.

5. This illustrates what I mean

A complete diagnosis cannot be made remotely. I'd like to see him interviewed by a top psychologist or psychiatrist over a full day or more, and either hypnotized or given sodium pentathol (or whatever "truth serum" is used now) to unlock the secrets from his upbringing he keeps from himself, to find out why he's a malignant narcissist, has anti-social personality disorder or whatever.

It's like 25 years ago, when my '65 El Camino with a 327 from Summit Racing got a flat exhaust cam lobe after only about 20,000 miles. It wasn't enough to me to just replace the camshaft. I wanted to know what caused the cam to flatten, largely because that might cause something else.

The Felon is getting worse and may yet get even more so. I want to be prepared for that, and the only way is to know the root of his problems.

6. In my opinion, we should just focus on his dysfunctional behavior

We have enough evidence of his unfitness for office just from his actions, words, and past performance. We don't really need to professionally diagnose his personality disorder(s).

7. Like you said, your opinion

Not mine.

I've never been satisfied with "it is" when something's wrong. I've alwaya wanted to know why it is.

8. Being able to label something doesn't really answer the "why" either

Personality, including the Dark Triad factors, don't really get at the "why." The research on personality, including the Dark Triad, allows us to make inferences about how a sample population might be predisposed to think, feel, and behave in certain ways but doesn't really allow us to make the same strength of inferences for any single person among that population.

While I agree it would be interesting to see the results of a full psychological evaluation of Trump, it isn't likely to happen. After all, Trump thinks we know plenty about him based on what he told us about his "cognitive exam" that he aced.
