At this point, all of these reports about the Russian economy are simply click bait, Chicken Little attempts to grab attention. Time to start ignoring these stories.

GDP growth has slowed from around 4.1 % in 24 to 1.1 % in Q2 25. Defense spending is just over 40% of govt spending. Labor constraints are real, and getting worse. Oil revenue is down almost 1/3 from last year.

CSIS analysis broadened the window of opportunity through 27, and concludes that without structural reform or stabilization in oil revenues, crisis point could hit within 1–2 years
