Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWhat are the concrete results of a CDC recommendation/declaration?
Does it affect some sort of government funding?
Does it affect insurance companies by law?
Do insurance companies automatically pay if something is CDC recommended and not pay if it recommends against something?
I heard a snippet from some newscast that alluded to "consult a physician."
Can anyone get the COVID shot if they're not in a recommended group, but pay for it themselves?

(8,321 posts)What is their endgame here? Banning all vax?
or is just an advisement?
are they giving insurance companies a green light to deny shot coverage?
Vax is voluntary now correct? Are they trying to convince more folks not to get them?
Can schools refuse to admit unvaxxed kids? ( I dont think so)
Can pediatricians refuse to see unvaxxed kids? ( I think they can with a referral out of their office/clinic)
There is going to be alot of sick folks, do they consider loss of work, school, etc
Insurance: is it really more cost effective to dent shot coverage and pay for treatment and hospital of preventable disease?
They have actuaries or whatever on that right?
"are they giving insurance companies a green light to deny shot coverage?"
Or are they requiring that insurance companies NOT cover the groups the CDC advises against? You'd think that insurance companies, being in it for the money, would rather pay for a "relatively" cheap shot than for weeks in intensive care.
