Belated Happy Birthday to Brooksley Born !
Yesterday was Brooksley Born’s birthday. For those who are not aware of this brilliant woman I suggest searching the PBS show FRONTLINE/ THE WARNING.
She was the heard of the CFTC. She desperately warned everyone about the dangers of derivatives, which caused the crash of 2008. She could not have been more accurate. Genius’s Robert Rubin and Lawrence Summers could not have been more insultingly dismissive of her.
So most people do not know about the woman who was given the John F Kennedy Profiles In Courage award while Larry Summers still pops up occasionally as someone who’s opinion we should pay attention to.
She should have high schools named after her. He should just STFU about everything and just go away.
