I'm ambivalent about posting this.

I got the message below from a friend who lives in Minneapolis when I asked about his including "trans" in his description of the killer at the Catholic church. I hadn't heard this anywhere else, and wanted to know if it was a thing on the right. Apparently it is, and I think DU should know that. I'm verey impressed with the MSM that I've heard nothing about this. Just as I was impressed that I knew nothing about the pilot of the Potomac crash helicopter except from a brief photograph. Just goes to show, though, that we live in totally separate worlds.

I hear from my Trump supporting nephew that the trans issue is all over the right wing media. The mainstream media have been good about not bannering that issue. Trans community here is very concerned about backlash. The photo is the state fair booth for à right wing senate candidate running against Amy Klobuchar. I’ve had it with Jesus in politics!!!!!

Comes from the right. Recruiting and radicalization comes from there as well. It is way out of control! The Main Street media helps promote it!
I believe Republicans have ruined this country.

Most mass shooters are cis straight white males with right wing social histories. Nothing is ever made of that fact by the media.

But every now and then a mass shooter is different from the standard in some way that is insignificant to the fact that they're an effing mass murderer - and the right wing noise machine can be counted on to make it sound like this is the first mass murder in years and it was perpetrated by a person who might be trans! Gasp and golly gee.

Meanwhile the rest of the mass murders are ignored.

5. Plus, I as a cis white male have never been asked to account for the crimes of cis white males

While these right-wing creeps paint all transgender folks as deeply deranged people. Stereotype much, you right-wing fucknuts?

And if every trans person doesn't immediately publicly denounce this killer people will ask "why isn't the trans community speaking up about this?!
