The National Guard has been in DC for almost three weeks now.

The Washington Post is reporting that the soldiers have new tasks. They're now performing landscaping and sanitation duties.

Fox 5 assignments editor Allison Papson posted a video of Guard members picking up trash, and that video has people talking!

1. They've been assigned to pick up trash and spread mulch, not only because there isn't enough crime to suppress,

but because the National Park Service and other federal employees who would normally handle those jobs have been DOGEd. So rather than just have the NG guys sit around on park benches with nothing to do at all, they put them to work wearing yellow safety vests designed to make them visible over their camo uniforms designed to make them invisible. Go figure.

FAR from what they signed up for. Not sure I would follow this order if I was a Lt. or Captain. In any case, I would do the most lax supervision of “field policing” imaginable.
