A CDC report from 2023 shows that 76% of adults lived in households that do not have a landline telephone. So, they wouldnt be included.

I've never used a cell phone. However, when going to regional cities, I don't mind if one of my kids has one to provide directions.
When I worked at the mental health clinic, a few co-workers thought it curious, even odd, that I read phone books during staff meetings.

Both covers, inner & outer are covered in ads for local businesses.
I think the local weekly prints it.

(27,558 posts)And sometimes I have to talk a senior out of wanting to keep one! The last one I recently saw was a 2020 edition. The senior let me throw it out but others have protested!

(1,329 posts)It might have been early 2000's though. I gave up my landline (also part of an internet bundle) much later than that because the bundle was cheaper with it than without. (I'm sure that made sense in some presentation to management.)
