I am glad the CDC fiasco is getting attention, but something else happened

today that is also very important. Erin Burnett actually led off with it on her show. Today Russia conducted its second deadliest strike on Ukraine, killing twenty-one civilians

Guess trump really laid down the law to putin, right? In fact, Erin is emphasizing that trump is silent about all this, even as putin ignores him and shows no sign of agreeing to the much bally-hooed "meeting" with Zelensky either.

The correspondent said that trump was "frustrated" and that's why he hasn't spoken about today's attack.

the people knew that whatever nasty things Krasnov said about Putin was Kabuki Theater.

Krasnov wouldn't dare say anything about Russia that didn't come from Putin.

Obviously targeted on purpose - to show the world how weak Trump is and how Putin owns him.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/aug/28/uk-summons-russian-ambassador-over-british-council-missile-damage-in-kyiv

The UK and European Union have summoned their Russian envoys after overnight missile strikes on Kyiv killed at least 21 people and damaged the city’s British Council and EU offices, in the deadliest aerial assault on the Ukrainian capital since the Alaska summit between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

Four children were among those killed after a residential building in the eastern Darnytskyi district was struck in the middle of the night, according to Ukraine’s interior minister, Ihor Klymenko.

Hours later, another person died in a separate blast in Kyiv’s central Shevchenkivskyi district, which left the buildings and offices severely damaged, including those housing the EU delegation to Ukraine and the British Council.

The incident marks the first time British government property has been caught up in a Russian attack since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Trump knows only about real estate deals with a motivated buyer and a motivated seller.

He has discovered that a deal on this case would take a LOT of work that he is not willing to do, so, he’s walking away from it.

And there goes his Nobel Prize up in smoke.

It's laughable that Schlump ever thought he could pull this off. It's not just that he lacks negotiation skills, which would be bad enough. The real problem is that he has absolutely no comprehension of any of the issues involved, including the following:

1. This whole thing is all Putin's fault for illegally invading a sovereign nation in the first place.

2. NO, Donald, you ignorant twit, ceding ANY of their country's territory is NOT an idea that is acceptable to Zelensky or his people, in any way, shape, or form.

3. Even if that idea WAS acceptable to them, the Ukrainians know full well that no promise Putin makes will ever be kept for more than 5 consecutive minutes. If they give up any territory now, Putin will be back later trying to grab some more, and some more after that, rinse and repeat until there's nothing left.

4. What Ukraine wants (and deserves) is for Putin to just fucking stop and go away and leave them the hell alone -- after giving back the terrorory he's stolen from them.

5. What Russia wants is Ukraine, all of it, now.

Considering that Schlump is way too stupid to understand ANY of this AND is completely oblivious to the fact that Putin has been playing him like a fiddle all the way along, anyone with an i.q. higher than their shoe size can easily see this this little project was doomed from the start.

The fact that the whole world was forced to watch that stupid, futile charade in Alaska is the cherry on the 💩 sundae. I hope the other European leaders who came here to support Ukraine can figure out a way to give Zelensky the help he needs to fight off Putin's goons without having to rely on assistance from the U.S. that Schlump obviously can't be counted on to provide.
